- By accessing the web site at https://www.west-coast.com.au,you are agreeing to be bound by these web site Terms and Conditions of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. Boarding and Training Services
- General
- We reserve the right to revise, amend or otherwise alter these Terms and Conditions without prior notice and at our complete discretion.
- We reserve the right to refuse the admission of any animal.
- The owner agrees to give permission to West Coast to allow personal information regarding the owner and the pet to be provided to, or received from, a duly licensed veterinarian regarding the care of the pet.
- The owner agrees to drop off and pick up the pet within advertised operating hours of West Coast or our appointed agents. Any outside arrangement for drop off or pick up of a pet outside advertised hours is at West Coast’s total discretion and charges will apply.
- Intellectual Property: You acknowledge and accept that any video tutorial, notes or other material (“our property”) we provide you with in the service belong to us. You agree not to distribute our property to any other party without our express written consent. You understand that a breach of this term may result in legal action being taken against you. You agree to fully indemnify us for any legal fees or costs we incur as a result of such action.
- Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and us and governs the use and provision of the Service, superseding any prior agreements between you and us with respect to the Service.
- Choice of Law and Forum: This Agreement and the relationship between you and us will be governed by the laws of Western Australia. You and we agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
- Waiver and Severability of Terms: Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of this Agreement is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties’ intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of this Agreement remain in full force and effect.
- You acknowledge and accept that during the provision of the Service, we may take photographs and/or make audio or other media recordings in which you or your dog(s) may appear. You consent to such material being copied or reproduced (whether by photo, film or other digital, electronic or printed media), as we may in our sole discretion determine. We may use such material for the purpose of marketing and promoting the Service, without acknowledgment to you and without entitlement by you to any remuneration or compensation now or in the future.
- You agree that you will have no further rights to the material, including moral rights and copyright.
- We agree not to use the material in a manner that may be deemed adverse or defamatory to you. We further agree that your personal details (including your name) will not be used in the featured material without your express consent.
- Fees
- We reserve the right to revise fees without prior notice and at our complete discretion.
- The owner acknowledges that upon signing this contract a lien comes into existence over the pet as security for West Coast against any and all outstanding fees and will remain in existence until the entire balance is paid in full.
- The owner agrees to pay all costs and charges not later than the day of admittance of the pet to West Coast.
- The owner agrees to pay for any and all additional costs and charges when the pet departs from West Coast.
- There is no refund or credit for early holiday returns. Board rates are charged on a calendar day basis and the full period booked will be charged.
- In the event of outstanding fees for a period of 2 (two) weeks after the advised pickup dates, and the owner has failed to advise of revised pick up dates we may proceed as follows;
- We may exercise our right to offer the pet for sale, arising from the lien over the pet, to cover the outstanding costs arising from the pet’s stay.
- Where the sale of the pet does not secure a price adequate to cover the cost of the owner’s debt to us, the owner will be liable for the remainder.
- Where the pet is, for whatever reason, deemed unsuitable for sale by West Coast the pet may be disposed of at our absolute discretion and the owner will be liable for all costs.
- Booking fee policy
- All bookings require a $25.00 booking fee. This is refundable during a 7-day cooling-off period, but non-refundable/transferrable 7 days after making the booking.
- Cancellation policy
- Cancellation within 7 days (cooling off period) – no fee charged
- Cancellation after 7 days (cooling off period) – booking fee forfeited
- Emergency Cancellations – In the event of an emergency, WCPCC may, at its discretion refund the booking fee. All requests for refunds are required to email manager@west-coast.com.au, along with providing written evidence for your claim (e.g. a letter from vet, letter from doctor, etc.). If you are unable to provide sufficient written evidence outlining the reason for your cancellation, no refund will be provided this also applies for transfers of fees to other bookings. By making an application for a refund the customer acknowledges and accepts that the payment of any refund is done as an ex gratia payment at the sole discretion of WCPCC.
- There are no refunds or credits for early holiday returns.
- Minimum stay
- A minimum of 10 days boarding is required if staying during Christmas and/or New Years day.
- A minimum of 5 days boarding is required if staying during Easter weekend.
- Liability
- The owner agrees that they are solely responsible for the behaviour of the pet for the duration of its stay at West Coast.
- The owner agrees to indemnify West Coast for any and all claim of loss or damage arising from any act or behaviour of the pet.
- The owner agrees to indemnify West Coast for all costs and charges associated with special services requested during the pet’s stay at West Coast.
- The owner agrees to indemnify West Coast for all costs and charges associated with all veterinarian costs incurred during the pet’s stay at West Coast.
- West Coast will, where possible, do all that is reasonable to contact the owner before veterinarian treatment is sought.
- The owner agrees to indemnify West Coast for any and all other additional costs and charges incurred by the pet during its stay with West Coast.
- The owner agrees that West Coast, our employees or our agents will not be liable for any items damaged, destroyed, left behind or otherwise lost on our premises during the pet’s stay.
- In the interests of all our clients, we do not accept external bedding or toys due to health reasons including: Cleaning procedures, Incoming pathogens and/or parasites and chewed toys/bedding. It’s very important that we are able to clean our kennels daily, effectively and efficiently.
- Health and Care
- The owner recognizes that West Coast employees and agents are not qualified veterinarians, and as a result are not qualified to diagnose latent health problems/issues the pet may have or provide specialist care that your pet may require.
- The owner agrees that the pet shall be up to date with vaccinations covering the entire planned stay of the pet with us. Please visit our Vaccination requirements section for further details.
- The owner agrees to disclose all relevant information regarding the health and any illnesses, health conditions/problems the pet may currently suffer from.
- The owner agrees to disclose and provide any special care instructions for the pet during its stay with us.
- The owner agrees to provide any/all medication the pet will require during the pet’s stay with us. The medication will be in its original packaging and accompanied by Vet instructional label.
- If West Coast deems that due to the disclosed health and care information regarding the pet presents an increased risk to the pet whilst in the care of West Coast, we may at our discretion refuse a booking unless;
- The owner provides a vet report regarding the health care management regime of the pet and any risks that may arise whilst the pet is in care with us; and/or.
- The owner accepts West Coast owes no special duty of care in respect of pet health care management regimes above and beyond the level of reasonable care provided by West Coast who are not qualified veterinarians.
- The owner agrees that if, on arrival at West Coast, the pet is found to be dirty, has fleas or requires grooming; we shall make reasonable attempt to contact the owner to advise of the situation.
- Where no contact can be made we shall take reasonable measures to rectify the issue, charges may apply.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre is not responsible for your pet’s coat while staying with us or at departure. This includes matting, knotting, smell etc. WCPCC offers a complimentary hydro bath on departure, if boarding for more than two calendar days. If additional grooming is required, this is offered with additional fees.
- West Coast offers additional ‘Special Care’ & ‘Intensive Care’ services – The owner accepts that these programs do not require us to provide a higher level of care to your pet than what is reasonable in rendering those services in the circumstances taking into account paragraph 14.6.1.
- By signing this contract the owner declares that they have given full and accurate information relevant to the care of the pet.
- West Coast, our employees, and our agents cannot be held liable where any injury, sickness, and/or death occurs at West Coast premises or in transit where said circumstances arise as a result of:
- Owner’s failure to fully disclose any and all relevant information regarding the pet and instructions as to the pet’s care; and/or,
- Where we have acted with reasonable care with respect to paragraph 14.6.1.
- Please notify the office via email to advise: if you have recently been in China or travelled outside of the Country in the last 3 months, been in close contact with someone who has been in China or recently travelled; and/or display the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, breathing difficulties.
- If you are unwell please avoid attending sessions to avoid the risk of infecting others.
- Everyone should practice good hygiene to protect against infections. Good hygiene includes: washing your hands often with soap and water, using a tissue and cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, avoiding close contact with others, such as touching
- West Coast Pet Care Centre reserves the right to refuse to conduct services that may place our staff members at risk. If you have any further questions, please contact West Coast Pet Care Centre.
- Validity
- If any clause or part thereof contained in this document shall be judged to be invalid for any reason whatsoever such invalidity shall not affect the validity or operation of the remainder of this document and such invalid clause or part thereof shall be deemed to have been deleted from this document.
Online Shopping Services
- Ordering
- Products displayed on this website may be ordered either online at any time or by telephoning/faxing the listed contact number provided on the website.
- Telephone and Facsimile orders should only be made on Monday through to Friday during the business hours of 9:00am until 5:00pm Australian Western Standard Time.
- Once an online order has been placed an automatic email confirmation will be sent to indicate that the order has been received.
- This email confirmation will be sent to the address provided and will confirm the details of the order, but will not under any circumstances represent an acceptance that West Coast Pet Care Centre will be able to meet the order as placed.
- The features of this website which facilitate commercial transactions are only intended for, and may only be used by, individuals who can form legally binding contracts under the applicable law of Western Australia.
- Any orders will not be dispatched until West Coast Pet Care Centre receives payment of the order price in full.
- Whilst West Coast Pet Care Centre aims to display items which are in stock as of the date shown, there may be times where stock availability is listed incorrectly due to circumstances which may include but are not limited to:
- When there is a large amount of orders on specific items and;
- When stock availability may be affected by unforeseeable events outside of our control.
- In the event that we are unable to supply a particular item contained in your order and/or the product availability is displayed incorrectly, you will be notified as soon as practicable after receiving confirmation of your order.
- Once notified you may then cancel you reorder and any sum of money already paid will be refunded in full.
- In the event that the product availability is displayed incorrectly or we are unable to supply a particular item contained in your order, West Coast Pet Care Centre reserves the right to decline or cancel an order at any time.
- If West Coast Pet Care Centre exercises this right to decline or cancel an order, any sum of money already paid by the purchaser will be refunded in full.
- Prices
- All prices displayed on our website are in Australian Dollars unless otherwise expressly stated.
- The prices shown are representative of the corresponding products retail price and are inclusive of GST unless expressly stated.
- The purchaser is responsible for the payment of the listed order price in addition to any applicable taxes (which may include, but is not limited to, GST) and any other fees associated with the purchase which may include, but are not limited to, delivery charges as quoted by West Coast Pet Care Centre to you prior to the confirmation of the order.
- The purchaser is responsible for all local taxes, custom duties and other government charges that your order may be subject to.
- Prior to the validation of your order the price of the products purchased will be assessed to ensure accuracy.
- Whilst we aim to ensure that the pricing of all products displayed on our website are as accurate as possible we accept no liability in the event of any discrepancy between the price displayed on the website and the correct retail price of the product.
- In the event that the price displayed on the website differs to the correct retail price of the product, you will be notified as soon as practicable after the discrepancy in price comes to our attention.
- Once notified you may then cancel your order and any sum of money already paid by the purchaser will be refunded in full.
- In the event of a pricing discrepancy, West Coast Pet Care Centre reserves the right to decline or cancel an order at any time.
- If West Coast Pet Care Centre exercises this right to decline or cancel an order, any sum of money already paid by the purchaser will be refunded in full.
- Payment
- Payments for goods subject to an order may be made via the methods listed below:
- VISA or MasterCard Credit Card;
- PayPal;
- Direct Bank Deposit; or
- Approved Gift Certificate.
- For orders placed via Facsimile and/or Telephone, you will be contacted by West Coast Pet Care Centre to obtain credit card payment details.
- Under no circumstances are cash payments accepted via post or money order.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre are not responsible for any losses incurred as a result of cash payments being sent via post or money order.
- The total amount charged to your credit card will be in Australian Dollars unless otherwise expressly stated.
- The total sum of your order may be debited from your account immediately or as soon as your order is received and processed.
- In an attempt to ensure that purchasing online through www.west-coast.com.au is as secure as practicable, your credit card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of any external party gaining access to your details.
- A purchaser’s credit card details are not stored anywhere on our website.
- Payments for goods subject to an order may be made via the methods listed below:
- Delivery
- West Coast Pet Care Centre utilises the services of Australia Post and other couriers to the discretion of West Coast Pet Care Centre to deliver goods Australia wide.
- The delivery fee reflects the size, weight, dimensions of the corresponding product and any associated packaging that is required to be shipped.
- All orders are shipped via standard Australia Post or other standard courier services unless otherwise expressly stated.
- Delivery fees are calculated by Australia Post automatically upon placing your order. To confirm delivery costs or for any further delivery enquiries you may contact us according to the requirements of Paragraph 19.1.1.
- Prior to submitting your credit card details for payment, you will be automatically notified of the delivery costs to addresses within Australia.
- To confirm the availability of delivery outside of Australia, if applicable and being subject to paragraph 19.3, you may contact West Coast Pet Care Centre, either; at any time through the ‘Contact Us’ page on the website, or by telephone/facsimile to the numbers listed on the website on Monday through to Friday during the business hours of 9:00am until 5:00pm Australian Western Standard Time.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre reserves the right to, in accordance with our sole discretion, refuse delivery of an order to an address not serviced by Australia Post or our selected courier service.
- In the event that West Coast Pet Care Centre exercises this right to refuse delivery to an address not serviced by Australia\ Post or our selected courier service in accordance with our sole discretion, any sum of money already paid by the purchaser will be refunded in full.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre makes every effort to ensure that your order is shipped and delivered within 28 days however shipping and delivery of your order may be delayed in the event of circumstances, which may include but are not limited to:
- When orders are particularly large and/or onerous to execute.
- When orders are placed during peak periods.
- When events occur that are specific to Australia Post or our selected courier service and are out of our control.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre accepts no responsibility for any items lost, incomplete, damaged, stolen, or otherwise modified during transit, from the point the goods are rendered to Australia Post or our selected courier service for delivery until the point the goods are delivered at the address designated by the purchaser in the confirmed order.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre utilises the services of Australia Post and other couriers to the discretion of West Coast Pet Care Centre to deliver goods Australia wide.
- Returns
- West Coast Pet Care Centre aims to provide a simple process to return goods subject to the conditions below.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre will accept the return of products if they:
- Are deemed after inspection to be faulty and/or subject to a warranty replacement;
- Do not match the description;
- Differ from the item ordered;
- Are unfit for their intended purpose; or
- Have an explicit guarantee or extended warranty offered by West Coast Pet Care Centre and/or its suppliers at the time of purchase.
- Products returned for the reasons contained in paragraph 20.1 will result in either a full refund, replacement of the original product or store credit to the value of the original purchase price.
- It is the purchaser’s responsibility to inspect goods as soon as practicable after delivery to determine if they are faulty.
- In inspecting the product for fault, the purchaser should have due regard to the nature of the goods and the function which they are intended to perform.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre accepts the return of products in circumstances where you have incorrectly chosen, if and only if, the goods remain unopened in their undamaged and unmarked original packaging.
- Any items returned pursuant to paragraph 20.1 will incur a restocking fee of a minimum of 20% of the original purchase price.
- Products returned for incorrect choice will not be subject to a full refund and the purchaser may only receive shop credit or a replacement of the product.
- The value of the credit the purchaser may receive will be determined as the lesser of the original purchase price and the current price of the product as of the date the product is received back.
- The purchaser bears the onus of any costs, whether they are for return shipping or otherwise, incurred by returning goods.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre reserves the right to refuse the return of a product for incorrect choice if we are of the reasonable belief that the goods have been subject to the conduct contemplated in paragraph 20.6 below.
- If you wish to return a product for whatever reason notice must be provided to West Coast Pet Care Centre through our ‘Contact Us’ page on our website.
- This notice is to allow the return, if applicable, to be facilitated.
- No goods will be accepted for replacement or credit after a period of 7 days from the date of invoice unless they:
- Are deemed, after inspection, to be faulty;
- Do not match the description;
- Differ from the item ordered;
- Are unfit for their intended purpose; or
- Have an explicit guarantee or extended warranty offered by West Coast Pet Care Centre and/or its suppliers at the time of purchase.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre reserves the right to inspect any product alleged to be faulty and you agree to have the goods ready for inspection upon being required to do so.
- Goods that have been opened, used, tags or packing/instruction manuals removed or goods that were sold on a ‘no return’ basis cannot be returned, unless deemed after inspection to be faulty.
- The purchaser is responsible for the goods until the return delivery is completed and is liable for any damage incurred during the return of any such goods.
- For your own protection, West Coast Pet Care Centre suggests that you utilise a secure delivery method which provides both a secure delivery method and insurance.
- The above terms do not limit or otherwise affect your existing statutory rights which cannot be excluded.
- Cancellation
- Cancellation will not be deemed valid unless prior written consent from West Coast Pet Care Centre has been obtained.
- Liability
- West Coast Pet Care Centre grants no warranties in respect of products and services provided except those expressly specified on the website, or those which cannot be excluded under Australian law.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre accepts no responsibility stemming from product descriptions or other information contained on our website and provides no guarantee that is accurate, current, complete or free from error.
- West Coast Pet Care Centre, its employees or agents will not be liable for any loss or damage (including loss or damage as a result of third party claims, any loss of profits, and any type of loss or damage which may include but is not limited to, indirect, special, exemplary and/or consequential loss or damage) of any kind, whether for negligence, breach of contract, misrepresentation or otherwise, to the maximum extent allowable under Australian law.

- The purchaser expressly and irrevocably agrees to indemnify and keep indemnified against any claim brought against us, by a third party resulting from the provision or use of services, and in respect of all losses, costs, actions, proceedings, claims, damages, expenses (including reasonable legal costs and expenses), or liabilities, what so ever suffered and howsoever incurred by us in consequence of your breach or non-observance of these terms.
