Herm Sprenger Chrome Plated Fursaver Check Chain Dog Collars
Fursaver Check Chain Dog Collars manufactured by Herm Sprenger is a good dog training tool. Although often mislabeled as ‘chock chain’ and used incorrectly. When used correctly check chains are a suitable type of dog collar for dog trainers and everyday dog owners. Herm Sprenger check chains are available in a variety of finishes, styles, and lengths.
The long links are part of our Fursaver range, it is still used as a check chain collar in the normal manner, however, the long & shaped links mean it is less likely to catch in the dog’s coat making it a very popular choice for the long-haired dog. The 3mm check, not “chock”, chains are the one of our medium, slightly heavier sizes available. While the 4mm chains are one of our heavier sizes available. Suitable for both medium and large dog breeds these chains are often used for dog training and by the everyday dog owner.
As with any lead, collar and harness tool you choose to use with your dog. We highly recommend to seek assistance and help from your local dog trainer or speak to our helpful dog trainers at West Coast Pet Care.
About the finish;
– Chrome Plated chains undergo first nickel, and then chromium plating to produce that strong metal shine. These chains are strong and durable. However, are not recommended for dogs that spend a lot of time in and around water, especially saltwater, or dogs that have skin sensitivity.
– We recommend that you measure your dog’s neck circumference reasonably high. Just behind the ears, then add 5cm for small dogs up to 10cm for large dogs.
– For dogs with a particularly large head relative to their neck size, you may need to measure the circumference of the dogs head rather than the neck.
Suitable for ages 6 months and over.
For those who have not used Check, not “chock”, Chains before. It is always recommended to contact and seek assistance from your local dog trainer
before using this training tool with your dog.
