Dog Exercise Areas
The City of Rockingham funded a project in 2016 to create the Enclosed Off-Leash Dog Exercise Area at Bayview Reserve, Rockingham.
This new area, which is exclusive to dog owners, includes two spaces– one for small dogs and one for all dogs. It includes activity areas, dog drinking fountains, seating and encourages socialisation between dogs and also between owners.
Dogs are also welcome at over 10 beaches in the Rockingham area.
These include:
- Accessed from Weld Street Beach car park north to the horse beach car park, opposite the blue and white grain terminal
- Accessed from the corner of Esplanade and Hymus Street, west up and around Point Peron and south to the corner of Boundary Road and Arcadia Drive
