Kelmscott Dog and Cat Boarding
Kelmscott is one of the very early towns established in Perth and is bisected by the Canning River. Only 30km away from the CBD, Kelmscott is known for being an affordable suburb close to the national parks – which means lots of dog friendly trails! With more than 11,800 registered dogs in the City of Armadale, you’re bound to meet lots of other dog owners and pups exploring the natural beauty found in Kelmscott.

Exercise your Dog
Kelmscott has welcomed a new off-leash exercise area at John Dunn Memorial Park Dog Park. If you are lucky enough to live nearby, this spacious facility boasts 3 fully fenced areas for small, medium, and large dogs, with shelter, doggie drink fountains and seating in each enclosure. These areas are designed to maximise playtime and training with sand pits, dog agility courses and exercise equipment available.
Your pup will welcome the chance to run freely and release some pent-up energy. The average house has limited backyard space, and so dogs can be bored easily or start displaying unwanted behaviours such as excessive barking. Having a fenced-in dog exercise park nearby will certainly help relieve these issues and make it easier for everyone to exercise their furry friends. The park will also encourage socialisation for dogs and a place for dog owners to make new friends – making it a great place to visit regularly!
There are many dedicated dog parks in and around Kelmscott, even providing dog waste bags and bins, as well as mixed-use parks and regional parks to explore:
- John Dunn Dog Park
- Banyowla Regional Park
- Joe Saunders Park
- Mary Carroll Park
- Sienna Wood Dog Park
Please note that while our pooches are also welcome at Minnawarra Park, Armadale, they must be kept on a lead in this park.
Bush Trails
Banyowla Regional Park is right on your doorstep if you live in Kelmscott, which boasts stunning views and wildflower trails. You can admire the breathtaking views of Perth from atop the waterfall on the Sixty Foot Falls Circuit. Visitors and locals alike enjoy this beautiful hidden gem, and you and your four-legged friends can too!
Local Vet Services
If your furry friend is feeling a bit under the weather, Roleystone Animal Hospital takes a caring and gentle approach to their treatment and consultation.
