Why are we excited about P.L.A.Y?

These pet products are joining our growing environmentally friendly range of goods. We want to make it as easy as possible for you, and your furry family members, to find and use eco-friendly and environmentally aware products. So we were pretty excited about this brand being promoted and available in Australia! Furthermore, their toys, and beds, look fabulous and are reasonably priced!

P.L.A.Y. makes quality dog beds with pets, people, and the planet in mind. When they were looking for quality dog beds for our own four-legged friends, they couldn’t find one that fit our lifestyle as modern pet owners, so they made their own. Each bed is crafted for maximum comfort and ergonomic support, feature stylish and easy to care for covers, and are made from sustainable materials to protect our planet. They understand the needs of today’s pet owners, and craft quality dog beds to meet these needs through multiple washes, days in front of the tv, and nights when your bed or lap is unavailable.

P.L.A.Y’s Green Goals.

They care about the environment because it is important.

At P.L.A.Y., they use PlanetFill®. A non-toxic soft polyfiber made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles in all their beds and plush toys. They save 108 plastic bottles from going into the landfill in every P.L.A.Y. XL Lounge Bed. They consider PlanetFill® an evolution from traditional memory foam filler. As PlanetFill® is eco-friendly, 100% machine washable and dryable, and does not contain formaldehyde which is a chemical commonly found in most memory foam.

Furthermore, it contains Eco-friendly PlanetFill® filler, which is made from 100% post-consumer certified-safe recycled plastic bottles and also features AZO-free dyes. Yes, we are more than happy for order in a particular product just for you, and your furry family member. There may be a slight delay with delivery, but we will be in contact with you every step of the way to keep you updated on the progress of your PLAY product(s). Our durable dog beds are crafted to withstand heavy paw traffic and while our beds are not 100% indestructible, we’d like to think they come pretty close! These long-lasting and sturdy beds are made to face up to even the most persistent diggers.

Not only can our durable pet beds & crate pads handle your dog, but they are also made for multiple washing and drying cycles. Simply unzip the covers and remove the inserts to wash, or if you wish, you may throw our washable dog beds in whole, and pop them into the dryer when you’re done.

Our beds – both the fillers and covers – are 100% washable and built to last, which means less work and more P.L.A.Y. for you and your pup.”

Looking after P.L.A.Y’s beds.

“Let’s face it: pet beds get dirty. We’ve all sniffed the lovely wet-dog scent, cleaned up the muck that our pets love to drag in, and seen our pup roll in who-knows-what. Momo is definitely not an exception. That’s why we’ve created PLAY products with people in mind. Every single pet bed, mat and pillow is 100% washer and dryer friendly. Here are a few steps to keeping your P.L.A.Y. product looking and feeling like new.”

Step 1:

Since both the inserts and covers are all 100% washable, first determine if you just need to clean the cover (shedding season, a little dirt, etc.) or the whole bed (oops, Fido had an accident).

Step 2:

If it’s just the cover, unzip and remove the insert, zip the cover securely and toss it in the washer and dryer! (We recommend cold water and gentle low heat cycle for the settings.)

Step 3:

If the whole bed needs cleaning, toss it into the washer as is. (For best results, we recommend keeping the cover on.) This step is much easier with a front-loading machine or a top-loading machine without a center column agitator; with our large pet beds, we even recommend taking them to a laundromat or dry-cleaner to ensure that the insert keeps its shape. Do NOT force your P.L.A.Y. bed into a top-loading machine if it does not fit easily. Make sure to use the “low agitation” setting with cold water. We recommend washing your bed with a few other items like towels or blankets and please avoid items with sharp edges to prevent tearing. Putting the bed in a laundry bag may help.

Step 4:

Lastly, pop the whole thing in the dryer! Keep the setting on gentle tumble-dry, low heat.
